Hello there. I hope you don't mind me sharing what I had dreamed of, a while ago, while I was still sleeping. I hope, maybe you could honestly interpret what my dream means. So in my dreams, it was night time and I am already on the building of our university where I study, about to attend the classes I guess in the 5th floor. So I rode an elevator as usual, but I noticed the elevator was slightly different. But anyways, I still pressed the 5th floor key. There are also others using the elevator. But when the elevator finally opens to the 5th floor, there's two of us who went out. But that floor seems to really be different. It's very dark, little to no lights, and something we've never seen yet. Maybe it's a 5th floor of the other part of the same building we haven't explored or seen yet..? Hidden? I don't know. We realized we rode the wrong elevator, that's why the elevator seems different. The other guy returned to the elevator, but I chose to not go back to the elevator, and find my way out on the same floor instead, maybe finding a stairs going down. I dropped my things first then find a way out. But as I try to find my way out or going down, I realize this floor is like a maze. I can't seem to remember anymore where I went. There's some lights on some specific parts of this floor, but even with those areas, there's no exit. I found a stairs seemingly going down, but that stairs only leads to a dead end - no exit, no door. I wonder why build a staircase for a dead end..? Anyways, I am already starting to feel unease because as I keep searching for an exit, I can hear something like footsteps or knocking from behind me... so the more I kept looking for the exits as fast as I can. But in my mind... I can just simply broke a window or shout instead, but I doubt no one could hear me if I did that. Luckily, I found my things, my bag that I dropped again... which gives me hint that the elevator is just nearby and I can just return to the elevator exit the place. And this is where my dream ends and I woke up in my waking life. Now, honestly tell me. What do you honestly think my dreams means..? Is that what they call backrooms..? Why do you honestly think I dreamed of that..?
Dreams can reflect our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and often they're a blend of these elements, making them sometimes appear as strange or surreal scenarios. Let's break down your dream based on its key components:
Nighttime and University Setting: This setting may represent a place of learning or personal growth. The night could symbolize the unknown or things not immediately clear in your waking life. Being at a university suggests you're in a phase of learning or dealing with intellectual challenges.
Elevator Experience: Elevators in dreams often symbolize transitions, changes, or moving from one phase of knowledge or life to another. The fact that something felt different about the elevator might indicate a feeling of uncertainty or unpredictability regarding current changes or transitions in your life.
Dark and Unfamiliar Floor: Arriving at a dark, unfamiliar place suggests feelings of uncertainty or fear regarding new experiences or challenges. It could relate to parts of your life that feel uncharted or unknown, where you're unsure of what to expect next.
Maze-like Floor and Dead Ends: The maze symbolizes confusion or feeling lost. Searching for an exit could represent your search for solutions or clarity in a situation where you feel trapped or uncertain. Dead ends could reflect feelings of frustration or obstacles you're encountering.
Feelings of Unease and Hearing Sounds: The unease and sounds may represent anxieties or fears looming over you. This part could indicate pressure you feel from external expectations or internal stress.
Returning to Your Bag and Elevator: Finding your belongings and the elevator could symbolize regaining confidence or finding your way back to a path you understand. It suggests the possibility of returning to a familiar or safer state of mind after experiencing confusion or fear.
Interpretation: Your dream might be reflecting a current feeling of being overwhelmed or lost, perhaps within your educational journey or other aspects of your life. You could be facing changes or new situations that you find unsettling or confusing, represented by the unfamiliar floor and the maze. The act of ultimately finding your way back may suggest an underlying hope or determination to regain control or clarity in your life.
Why You Dreamed of This: Such dreams often arise from stress, significant changes, or when you're on the brink of making important decisions. It could be your subconscious mind processing these aspects of your life. The "backrooms" theory fits, as these are often depicted as endless, unsettling spaces, much like the unfamiliar floor in your dream, amplifying feelings of being trapped or lost within the unknown.
Understanding what each element of a dream could symbolize in your life can help you address potential concerns or feelings that your daylight consciousness might not fully recognize.
